It's Official! Disney Announces Next DVC PDF Print E-mail

The secret is out about the next Disney Vacation Club resort - and it is two resorts. Finally, Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort has been officially confirmed as a DVC property. Additionally, the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa will also be DVC.

Bay Lake Tower will have 295 two-bedroom equivalent villas decorated in Contemporary style, featuring flat-screen TVs, full kitchens with granite countertops and modern appliances, and other home-like amenities. Many of the villas will sleep up to 9 people, though many can be divided into one-bedroom villas that sleep 5 and studios for 4, as in the other DVC properties. The Tower will also have its own pool, a rooftop lounge and fireworks viewing deck, and the sky bridge to the Contemporary Resort’s restaurants and monorail station.

The Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa are the newest phase of what will now be the largest DVC resort. 60 three-bedroom homes, which can accommodate up to 9 people, will revive the much loved elevated living of the old treehouses, updated for the modern ‘glamping’ (glamorous camping) guest. The homes keep the octagonal shape of the originals - with a smaller, more environmentally friendly footprint at ground level - and are designed to blend into the forest environment, yet will have cathedral ceilings, granite countertops, and flat-screen TVs. And if all that nature gets to be too much, you’ll be just around the river bend from Downtown Disney.

Sales are scheduled to begin on September 21, 2008 for current DVC members, and sales to the general public and also for the Treehouse Villas on a later date.
