Lots. Lots of lots - auction lots, that is. In my basement, there’s a closet. About 6.5 feet wide, so it’s a pretty good size. Extra deep, and cedar lined even. It used to hold toys and craft supplies and some basic household stuff, but now the Auction has pretty much taken over. One side is almost completely full with the collapsed boxes we use to transport everything to Camp Hill, as well as rolls of cellophane, packs of tissue paper, spools of ribbon and lots of Disney Store boxes we’ll be using to wrap up this year’s goodies. Not to forget the crate with the 120 custom-made clip boards for holding the bidding sheets (thank you again, April & Janet), the boxes of pens for writing those winning bids, easels for displaying the larger pieces like Tim Devine’s awesome photograph, sheets of foam board for our signs and stands, and that all-important lucky white board we’ve used to show the total amount raised each year.
The other half has shelves for the donated items that will become this year’s auction lots. Right now, there is still some room on this side. But by the time we cut off donations - June 10th or so - not only will this be full to bursting, but probably overflowing onto the nearby couch.
We’re hovering right now at around 75 lots, with room to add some more. I can tell you that what I’m seeing this year is even nicer and and cooler than last year. We’ve got some really great theme baskets in the works, and some very nice collectibles and pins.
Want a peek? I’m just going to tease you with a little portion of what’s already here.

Oh, and for the really big things that don’t fit in the closet: check out these previews!
Want to help? The Dream Team’s Wish List has been posted on the forums at DisneyWorldTrivia.com. Stop by and take a look, maybe there is something there you could donate and help us out. Or perhaps you could become a sponsor - for as little as $5 you could help us with the expenses associated with running this auction.
The Dream Team really is a "team" effort, and every little bit helps put a smile on the face of a seriously ill child.
