Silversmith shop (Closed) PDF Print E-mail

Another tiny store in Liberty Square, this store was, according to story, run by "J. Tremaine, Prop." Johnny Tremaine was the title character in the 1957 Disney film based on the Esther Forbes novel. The film told the story of a silversmith's apprentice who joins the Boston Tea Party and hung the lanterns on the Liberty Tree (much like the one in LIberty Square).

The store sold sterline or silver-plated items such as spoons and other kitchware, tea sets, bowls,  and candleabras.
