This oh-so-very-cool (technical term) side profile Mickey head could be found (for now) at the eagle Pines Golf Course, located at the Northeast corner of the Walt Disney World property. It is found on the putting green right next to the Clubhouse. But enjoy it while you can, because the Eagle Pines course will soon be the home of... well... homes! The former course will be the location of reportedly multi-million dollar homes which will be available for sale to the general public, as part of the luxury housing resort they are constructing on 429 acres. As part of this development, a Four Seasons luxury hotel will serve as the anchor.

Sorry to see such a unique, extra-large and very well hidden to the naked eye Mickey go. Of course, that would make an AWESOME shape for a pool for one of those homes. Anyone? Anyone?

While attending a meeting at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge this past week, I had an opportunity to look what is arguably one of the most beautiful and well-themed of all the WDW resorts. As I explored the lobby and gazed upon the Savannah, I took some photos of the new Kidani Village building which is currently under construction. It will be the home of the new Disney Vacation Club villas, scheduled for completion later this year.

And do you know that there's a story behind this resort and buidling? Stay tuned to the WDW Radio Show to learn more about the building's name and shape... it's all about story... 

During Disney's Animal Kingdom's 10th Anniversary celebration this past week, legendary Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde gave a presentation to Cast Members at the Theater in the Wild. It chronicled the history of the park, from conception to planning, design and development, meeting and overcoming challenges, and its launch and success. It's a fascinating peek behind the scenes and into the mind of the man who conceptualized the park, and helped create attractions such as Expedition Everest.
