Let the good times roll at this New Orleans-inspired Resort and experience the magic of Mardi Gras.
This Resort is located in the Downtown Disney® area.
- Located on the banks of the Sassagoula River, the Port
Orleans Resort was renamed Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter Resort in 1991,
as part of a merger with the former Dixie Landings Resort.
- The musical
staff notes behind the registration desk at Port Orleans French Quarter
(formerly known as the Port Orleans Resort), represent the first verse of the
classic tune "When the Saints Go Marching In."
- Disney's
Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, and its sister property, Disney's Port
Orleans - Riverside Resort, both lie on the banks of the Sassagoula River. A
jogging and walking trail along the lazy river connects the two properties.
- Sassagoula
is the Indian word for "Mississippi."
