As airlines start charging for bags, here's a way to save PDF Print E-mail

WIth rising fuel costs, and in turn, rising costs of airline tickets, travelers are faced with a dilemma of how to save money while still being able to travel os often as they like. Plus, with airlines such as American Airlines beginning to charge upwards of $30 for just one bag on a round-trip flight, travelers have to look tohotls and other services to help offset that additional cost. The Fort Worth Texas Star-Telegram recently ran an article that gave some practical travel advice, and happened to mention our friend, the Owner's Locker:

owners-locker.gif "Owner's Locker would probably save money in the long run for frequent travelers to Orlando. The service lets you fill a locker with the items you need on every trip, delivers it to any of more than 200 hotels in Orlando, then picks it up after you leave. While it's wildly convenient, it won't save you money if you don't travel often to Orlando. The initial set-up fee is $75 for the locker and the first delivery and pickup. Then, the basic service starts at $99 a year -- that's for climate-controlled storage and one delivery/pickup a year."

And it makes perfect sense - rather than be forced to take (and pay for) an additional bag, or a bag that might be too heavy and thus incur additional costs, putting many of your frequently-used items in a locker that will be there every time you visit is a great money-saving tip (and will make your bag just a little bit lighter - your shoulders will thank you!)
