  • The "Wonders of China: Land of Beauty, Land of Time" is a 360º Circle-Vision film shown in the re-creation of the 1420 A.D. Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest in the Temple of Heaven. Li Bai, an 8th century Chinese poet and philosopher, is your tour guide and narrator throughout this 19-minute journey to the Great Wall, the Forbidden City of Beijing, the Gobi Desert, Inner Mongolia, the Yangtze River and the tropical rain forests of Hainan Island.
  • When you enter the main building in the pavilion, look for the 9 stones embedded into the floor - this exact number of stones was placed here, as the Chinese consider 9 to be a lucky number.
  • If you look at the number of columns surrounding the outer room, you should count twelve. This number represents the number of months in a year and the number of years in a full cycle of the Chinese calendar.
  • The pair of banners that hang at the entrance to the pavilion offer you good wishes, in the hopes that: "May good fortune follow you on your path through life" and "May virtue be your neighbor."
  • Featured in this pavilion is a one-half scale reproduction of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing.
  • The color red, which is used extensively throughout the pavilion, symbolizes happiness, while gold represents royalty. The dragon and phoenix symbols represent the emperor and empress.
