I've been here since June 21 and haven't posted until today.... first time in my test thread... since it is now a hot topic, I think it is about time I introduced myself
I'm Refiner ... some will ask me to share my real name, but most likely it becomes "butchered" in the pronounciation... so please, jsut refer to me as Refiner and I'll be very happy
I love WDW !! (never been to DL)
My visits to WDW so far have all been during the mid 1980s
Magic Kingdom was a blast, EPCOT was fairly new yet, Disney Village...
and the Disney campground
that's all there was then
the studios were in the works and I think ground-breaking was about to happen or just did happen jsut before I left Florida to return to my home state of Washington.
I was in the USN then, first stationed in Orlando for training (gawd that makes me feel old - the base is gone now)... then at NAS Jax, so I was close to WDW
special events for me there include 2 Night of Joy events (I think I still have a T-shirt
from one)
I really loved visiting EPCOT as it was changing - new countries, new pavillions
My favorite parts of Magic Kingdom were the Tiki Room, Thunder Mountain Railroad and Space Mountain ... oh yes, don't want to forget Tom Sawyer's Island.
I want to thank everyone who has already welcomed me here...
I'm not as fast to jump around here as I'm still a dialup warrior, but I am gradually getting thru the good threads... of course the first stop to figure out what is approved for this board, but also finding the fun threads to drop on for reading enjoyment.
