First Disney Movie You Watched?
I was wondering what the first Disney movie you ever watched was? Or at least the first one you can remember. How old were you? Where were you? Things like that.
The first one I watched was The Black Cauldron. I was about 4 or 5 years old and we went to a drive in to see it. I remember it vividly because it scared the **** out of me and I think I cried most of the time. I finally watched it again when I was older and I love the movie!!

I honestly don't remember which movie was first. The earliest ones I can remember are Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Peter Pan, and Mary Poppins. I was probably around ages 3-5.

I don't really remember either. Maybe Bambi since my brother loved it so much. I know because of him we all ready had a large collection. I do remember when I went and bought Pocahontas and saw The Little Mermaid in theaters.

The Rescuers
When I was 3 my mom took me to see The Rescuers. I think it was my 2nd movie, and my 1st one in a theater. I remember bits and pieces of it, but I also had the storybook/record set, and I wore it out. For a long time, it was my favorite Disney movie, and it still holds a place in my heart.

Bambi, I grandmother took me to see it at the movies, and I think I was about 6 it made me cry. The next movie was Gus and then Escape to Witch Moutain.

I can't remember what I did yesterday, let alone 40+ years ago! Give me a break! I have recollections of Cinderella and Bambi, some true life adventure films on the Wonderful World of Disney (they didn't have VCR's back then, okay?). The first Disney movie I recall seeing in a theater was Bambi. That had to be sometime in the 1960's. I bawled. I watched Bambi a couple of months ago when it was released on DVD. I bawled.

Why do we love Bambi so much? It is so sad. Is there really a happy ending? I don't think so, but that is the first EVER movie I remember seeing in a theater. I wonder why it made such an impact?

I have more memories of the live action movies that were on as matinees. I do remember seeing Snow White as a high school senior. My best friend and I went to see that while the two guys were were with went to a R rated violent movie which I wasn't allowed to go to and didn't care to see.

Mine was The Apple Dumpling Gang. I was probably 5 or 6. I remember thinking that Don Knotts and Tim Conway were very funny. I recently bought this on DVD and got to introduce my son to it. Now he likes it too! :mickey:
