Types of Scrapbooks?

Okay I need a suggestion! Right now i use post bound scrapbooks and I am DESTROYING them!!! The way i do my books is by year, and also by disney trips. i have done soooooo many pages for each year that i end up having 2-3 albums. but i have soooo many pages in each book that im ruining the covers because they are bursting off the pegs.

Sooo what im asking is... what types of albums do you use? I really want the D-ring scrapbook binders but they are expensive on line and i havent been able to find them at acmoores, michaels or joanns. right now i have 21 albums completed with at least 30 pages in each album. any suggestions?????

I love the strap albums Karen. I do all of my Disney albums in them. I usually put between 25-30 pages in each of them (so a total of 50-60) finished LO's. I tried a post bound book once and hated it! I do know that they now sell extenders for the post bound books to allow you to add more pages which might work well for you.

I love the strap albums because they have a little more give and can be loosened or tighted easily. I also found that I much prefer the strap albums because the refill pages that you adhere your LO's to give your LO's more support and don't make the pages so floopy.

I've only used the post bound, but I was having trouble with extenders so I purchased a longer post from the scrapbook store (about 2" long). Now I don't have any problems.

If you like the postbound I have a new Disney one that I'm not going to use that you might be interested in...

I usually use the D ring binders. I usually buy them at the park when I go. I know they are spendy but I consider it a good investment into my memories. Esspecially if they are looked at and arranged alot. Replacing so many albums can get very expensive. Plus I find that the D rings hold so much more. I do use the post bound if D ring aren't available. I try not to extend it past 3 extensions because I think they become wobbly. I do each trip as it's own scrapbook so it is easy to tell the trips apart by the album cover.

I use postbound for my Disney Books putting no more then 40-50 pages in each book. For my everyday pages, I use D-Ring Albums from American Crafts. You can get the 12X12 at Hobby Lobby. I currently hold all of the non Disney 12x12 layouts I did, about 60 and still have room for more.

I mostly use Creative Memories (that's strap, right?).

Ok, this is a little OT, but still album related. Has anyone bought an album at WDW? I love the '06 one and am planning to buy it when we go next month. I'm wondering if they sell refill pages at WDW (I'm sure I will need to expand it) or can you buy refills at your LSS (what brand)?

Which one do you have, Melissa? I'll probably take it.

Do not buy Disney's Scrapbook. It's 12X12 that you have to put holes in your pages, and it doesn't have refils. and it's only about a 1/2 or 1/4 ring, It won't hold many pages.

It's a 12x12 by Sandylion It has blocks with Pluto, Goofy, Donald and Minnie in them with a block cut out in the middle with a 3D Mickey Mouse. I will just bring it to you when we meet up at the zoo next. It's post bound...I have refill pages for it too. Opened it and never used it after I placed one page in it, I took it out immediately. I should have known better....I'm not big on change and I've always used the same strap albums.

I have that book--it currently contains Magic Kingdom. I put Epcot in the Tinkerbell album, so I will put MGM in yours!

I have never bought a Disney World album but I did purchase 2 at Disneyland. They didn't have refill pages but I just took the album to my LSS and found pages that fit. I believe they were the Pioneer brand. I love both of the albums I bought. I thought they worked great.
