Disneyland property question

I'm TRYING to organize a trip to Disneyland sometime this year as my interest towards the park has grown tremendous in size, I know Nathan wouldn't approve of this, but I'm dying to experience the original

My question is this: What exactly was DCA before it was the DCA? I'm wondering because I know people always talk about the limited land available over there. A friend of mine suspects it was some hotels and restaurants that the company may have bought up, but I'd like to know the real answer. If anyone has any info about this, pleasr share!! Thanks!

It used to be the Disneyland parking lot.

Yes, it was a parking lot. Disney constructed a new multi-level garage to make up for the difference.

Hmm.. really. Yeah on a map, I noticed that across the street and to the left of the park. Interesting. Thanks everyone

Yea it was a parking lot... the parking garage it great... however, when leaving @ night on NEW YEARS or FOURTH OF JULY..... it's horrible!!!
