Monsters Inc. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue!
This was in my Disney Rewards catalog thing from Chase's Disney Visa card.
It is a description of the new ride in Disneyland: "Boo's on the loose in Monstropolis, and it's up to Mike and Sulley to get her home! Experience a whole new level of laughter on the NEW Monsters, Inc. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue! attraction opening early 2006 in Disney's California Adventures Park. Inspired by the Walt Disney Pictures presentation of a Pixar Animation Studios film, Monsters, Inc., the attraction is part of Disneyland Resort's 50th Anniversary magic. Inspired by the Walt Disney Pictures presentation of a Pixar Animation Studios film, Monsters, Inc., the attraction is designed for families with children under 10 years of age. Join Sulley, Mike, and Boo as they try to avoid slithery Randall Boggs and an army of yellow Child Detection Agents. You'll race through Monstropolis and into the cavernous halls of Monsters, Inc. to Boo's bedroom door. But will Randall stop you? Hurry over to the Hollywood Pictures Backlot at Disney's California Adventure Park and find out for yourself."

I turned to my DH and told him that they should make a ride like that. I just wanted it to be in WDW, not DL! ![]() |

There are RUMORS (strong emphasis on RUMORS) that soft openings could begin within the next month. So I say that the chances of the ride being fully operational in May are very high.

That sounds awesome. Doubt I will get to DL, I will have to hope it is a great ride and they do it in WDW as well....maybe replacing SGE? A girl can dream. But I think it might fit in well there.

Just a follow-up, the ride opened to previews last week. I rode it and it is a fun ride. I would equate it with Pooh in style but with better effects. I liked it. It is a nice addition to what was dead space.

Cool ride, it's not as fun as I thought it would be, but very cute.

I was hoping for a roller coaster type ride, reminiscent of the door scene in the movie. But I have to agree that it helps that area of DCA a bunch. When they took out Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (one of my family's favorites) there was not much there except Muppets and Animation. Perhaps Monsters and TOT will draw more ppl to the park. By the way, I LOVE that DCA now has TOT!!! Totally off topic, sorry!

I am pretty sure we're getting the ride in MK, skiyalater, I saw documents saying that on this website.
Thanks for the spoiler! The ride was very cute. I was hoping for some spinning in it, or a drop or too.

Ringing in the New Year!

Here's the thread I think Soccergirl was referring to: Monsters, Inc. in place of Timekeeper PICTURES
Note, it says FL is getting a Monsters, Inc. themed attraction, but not necessarily the same ride. DL's ride was limited by the track that was already in the building for SuperStar Limo. The Monsters Inc. ride uses the same track. SuperStar Limo was a basic dark ride, so that's pretty much what they had to do for Monsters there.
