Where is everyone staying for Marathon weekend? I am waiting for the Florida resident rates to be posted. I think it will be around October 15. I REALLY want to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge, IF they have a good deal!

Not my first choice, either, but I have to rely on the buses Disney provides and experience has taught me to go earlier rather than later. Experience has also taught to bring a book (I check it before the race, of course)!
In an ideal situation, I'd be at OKW, which is across the road from the start of the race. I've seen runners coming over 15-30 minutes before the race starts. The joy of sleeping until 5:00! Maybe next time... |

I will be staying at the Pop Century from Thursday to Sunday. This is my first time and I am trying to decided whether to rent a car or just use Disney Transportation. I will be alone. Any advise.
How is everyone training going? |

Bob74-
I would say that if you are by yourself just use the Disney transportation. Make sure you are on the bus early enough though too. My training isn't going too badly. Wish I wouldn't have slacked off thro' the summer so I need to pick it up some. |

I have just started the Hal Higdon's half marathon training program this week. So far I have done 3 miles, 2 miles, 3 miles, and then I am doing 4 miles tomorrow. I am walking, maybe jogging very little if at all. |

I do it by myself too Lori so I load up my ipod with podcasts! So I feel like I am walking with Lou! haha! I never listen to music anymore, just podcasts. I love it! I am doing 4 miles today and listening to the new All About the Mouse podcast on my walk.

Well, I'm staying at Animal Kingdom lodge! The passholder rates came out but everything was booked up for marathon weekend! I was only able to get a standard view room for $200 a night! Keeping my fingers crossed for an upgrade to savannah view! Oh well, I will try not to stress, if that is my biggest problem, life is good.
