The Dream Team Project Needs Your Help!

The DisneyWorldTrivia.com Dream Team Project is once again holding a charity auction at Fred Block’s MagicMeets Disney Fan Gathering this July. This auction raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America, to help grant the wishes of seriously ill children. 100% of the proceeds from the auction are donated through Firstgiving.com.

As in the past two years, we rely on the Disney fan community for donations of Disney merchandise, collectibles, and hand-crafted items to create our auction lots. Additionally, all our supplies and expenses are covered by donations, which in the past have come mostly out of our team's own pockets.

There are several ways you can help.


One way to help is to become a Dream Team Sponsor. This is new this year, and will help us with some of the expenses associated with running this auction. Sponsors make a cash donation via PayPal to dreamteam@disneyworldtrivia.com, and this money will be used to purchase items that are needed for the auction’s success. There are three levels of sponsorship:
$5 - "Smile Sponsor" - for wrapping and packaging supplies, printing costs, table displays, etc.
$25 - "Magic Sponsor" - to help defray the costs of our presence at MagicMeets.
$26 and up - "Dream Sponsor" - to be used to purchase the items needed for a specific themed basket.


Another way you could help is by purchasing and donating one of the items on our Wish List. These are items we need to complete theme baskets that have already been started and are partially filled. The list can be found below, and will be updated as items are received.


All Wish-List Donors and all Dream Team Sponsors will receive a thank you letter and will have their names displayed on our thank-you poster at MagicMeets. Please email me at Pat@DisneyWorldTrivia.com with your address and how you wish your name to be displayed.

This is a wonderful idea, Pat, and thanks to you and everyone who has volunteered their time, efforts and made donations, whether financial or otherwise.

I'd like to try and get this campaign kicked off by making a $50 donation to help out (I'd buy the popcorn, but likely eat it all before it made it to the auction)

Thanks, Catrina. We're all set for volunteers to work during the meet itself, but if you're around Friday night to help set up, or can stick around at the end of the meet for any cleanup, you're more than welcome to join us then.
