Hi there everyone!
Well, although I am technically a Gen Xer, I am not 'hep' to the whole Forum thing, so please bear with me if I make a lame, beginner move like double posting this or something!! I am a Boston, MA resident who pines for the parks daily (ah, don't we all?!) I've been told my cube is quite the festive disney shrine. I am razzed about my love of Disney at work on a regular basis, as I bring my Disney commuter mug (complete with Mickey silly straw) to all mtgs. I work for a Pharmaceutical Co. as a Clinical Trials Coordinator, but my other passion is singing. I am a Classical singer (opera) who is trying to do two careers at once, but honestly, I'd give it all up for the chance to work at WDW!!! So I'll keep on auditioning for them...I originally hail form the Bay Area, so Disneyland is my area of expertise, but I'm learning how we do things out here on the East Coast! My very first trip to WDW was last April , and no one could understand why I had tears in my eyes when I hit Main Street for that first time (same thing happens to me when I go to DL, but this visit was even more emotional for me). It took me 28 years, but I finally got there!!! And I have been DYING to go back ever since!!! Luckily, my future In-laws are retiring not far from Orlando & just built a house 25 minutes away from the parks. And--as if it couldn't get any better-- my future father-in-law is a cast member!!! So I know it's only a matter of time until I go back (much to my fiance's chagrin). Anyways, didn't mean to babble on & on (but I've been a Pod Person for the past 9 months now, so I don't think there is any hope of recovery for me)!!! I can't wait to make some new DizFriends, been meaning to join for awhile now! Best ~Robyn |

As a child, I had to wear corrective shoes. No one I knew had to wear saddle shoes or ugly brown tie shoes with holes in the top. When I got to college, two of my roommates had to wear ugly corrective shoes when they were in grade school. I often wonder if we'd have started our own little "ugly shoes club" had we gone to the same school.
You work with people who haven't yet learned to appreciate Disney. But, now that you've found DWT, at least you know you are not alone. We are all a little "crazy" when it comes to The Mouse. Welcome. ![]()
