I am headed to WDW in 4 weeks.....I scheduled where I wanted to go in advance to have a plan. I looked at who had what hours and also used parades and firework shows into the equation too. I planned the Animal kingdom for a day that had early morning hours since it closes earlier then the others. I picked MGM for the night it has a late Fantasmic show to give more time to the park. Is this a good plan?

That is a good plan. I know when I went in May, I hit Illuminations, Wishes and Fantasmic during the evening extra magic hours at each park and that worked really well as there was no rush to leave once the shows were over. Also, the late Fantasmic show is a great idea as it is less crowded.

Thanks Sonny.....my girlfriend has never been and I want her to get the most out of our trip. I like to be prepared or at least have some type of game plan.

We are Crowd Avoiders!

We plan our trip around the Extra Magic Hours the opposite of what is expected! We look at the extra hour calendar and go the day after as mentioned in the article. The crowds are decidedly smaller and we wait for rides less. However, I recommend to everyone else to take great advantage of Extra Magic hours that way our gameplan stays effective!
