MouseTunes a target??

It's sad to say, but unfortunately, someone has been going to all of the online podcast directories (e.g. Odeo) and requesting that MouseTunes be removed from the list of podcasts.

Obviously, neither Nathan nor I have asked for, authorized, or in any way desired to be removed from any directory. Just the opposite! We are constantly striving for higher rankings, more positive reviews, and of course, more listeners.

We have recently seen a number of things being done to try an take us out of not only these diretctories, but from the #1 ranking in iTunes under a Disney search. While we choose not to resort to some of these tricks, we hope that our show stands on its own, and that people will be motivated to write positive reviews on their own.

Again, thank you all for your support of the show. We're working on getting the show posted again in the directories and other sites where some of you have downloaded or listened to the show directly. We apologize for any inconvenience, and once again apprecaite all of your encouragement and support!

Some people think it's easier to cheat than to create good product. Just keep working on the great show you guys have been making, and we will keep spreading the word about it!

Don't go nuts over it Lou and Nate. Think about it this way, someone is trying to remove you because you are getting to be more popular than them or you guys are seen as a competitor... stupid, I know. Your show will stand on its own and Lou, you and I have talked about this sort of thing before; it’s crazy what some will do in this online niche. I personally have had threats (both legal and personal) but I usually just go about my business and focus on my passion, Disney World!


The SEO side of me says: You could always get a billion people to link to the site like bloggers did awhile back (search for the word “failure” in Google to see what I mean). Anyone looking for a decent radio show about Disney World will end up listening even if you are not listed in those directories. Put the minions to work!


So, ah, will I make it on the Everst podcast or do you plan to have me removed from that! LMAO The three "not-so-wise" men round 2!

Well, I'm loving the podcasts & am very sorry to hear that someone is trying to "take y'all down". I will be more than happy to write many positive reviews of the casts... if I knew how. I'm somewhat new to Itunes & my i pod so I don't really know how to use it very well yet. I do know how to listen to the casts (I just subscribed to it somehow) & it downloads them automatically. If someone would tell me how/where to help support Mouse Tunes, I'll do whatever I can to help your standings.

Whomever is attempting to get rid of the podcasts must really be insecure and scared to use such tactics! I love the podcasts and will continue to listen to them as long as they are available! *Laughs* Just think about the Verizon commercial with all of the 'support' team following the customer, instead it will be all of us who love DWT standing in front of this troubled person! Heaven help them when we all show up on their doorstep, behind Grumpydude with his trusty baseball bat at his side. Hahahaha Talk about a show of force without using any force!!!!

I know a couple of guys that work at a couple of places who know some guys who can do some things, no not that thing, the other thing. I just talked to one guy, no not him, the other guy and he told me that Uncle Vito at the place..................... he;s not happy. Fuhgetaboutit!!!!

Again, I'm sorry that this has been happening to the podcast. It's strange that someone would do this, and would want to try and give you a bad name. You wouldn't expect such a thing to happen with podcasting, and especially not with Disney podcasting.

The spirit of podcasting as a fun, free service is terrific, and it's really sad that some people are trying to make the podcasting community one of competition and cheating.
