Hopefully not a Silly Question

Hello all,

I am a noob here. And a bit of one to the WDW too. In April I am finally going to the parks for an extended stay. I went three years ago (for the first time) but that was quick visit.

I have heard all my life of Hidden Mickeys in the cartoons and at the parks. Now I have heard of Hidden Walts.

My question is this.
Are there anyother things to look for in this kind of well-know secret stuff??? And are there prizes or checklists (for marking off when you find one)?

Thanks,
Ken

Not a silly question! to DWT!!!!
There are all sorts of 'hidden' things, but no prizes for finding them. Try our "secrets of WDW" forum http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/for...splay.php?f=44 to learn about more!

There are a few Hidden Mickey checklists, but the best is the Walt Disney World's Hidden Mickeys book by Steve Barrett. http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/for...splay.php?f=48

Have a wonderful trip! Feel free to ask questions any time - this is a great place for finding helpful Disney nuts!

Just silly people who ask questions!! I'm just kidding, calm down!

Steve Barret's book is great. Also get Lou's book , There is ALOT of great information in there.

Ask a silly question, expect a silly answer. That's what I always say. But for noobs, silly questions (of which this one is NOT, I might add) are more than ok. We all have to start by learning something, no matter how basic.

From what I understand about the hidden characters (it almost doesn't matter what character or person you find, they are often all roped in together under the common term "hidden mickeys"), there has never been and never will be an official list, seeing as the concept originated as an inside joke amongst the animators and imagineers. However, many hard core mcieky-hunters do compile massive lists as they find them, and if you decide you are really into that kind of thing, make yourself a list of the ones that you would like to try to find during your stay. As pat and Todd already mentioned, Steve Barret has an excellent book (or two now, come to think of it) loaded with these kinds of things. If you don't pick it up before your trip, I know I've also seen it being sold in Disney (that lucky guy...). Anyway, I hope I could be of some help!

Sky,

I usually ship within 24-48 hours of receiving payment. If you choose Priority Mail, it takes anywhere from 2-5 days to arrive.

If you need it any sooner, let me know. Thanks!

There are some "non-thinking" questions which I have heard a lot of in my years of teaching. Safe to say- this was not a silly or a "non-thinking" question. Way to Go!!!
