Podcast Awards Nominations now open!!!

Hi all!

The Podcast Awards nominations are now open!

Nominations are being taken from now thorough 23:59PM
September 30, 2008.

I find it far harder and harder to wait for my weekly WDWRadio fix.

After being voted "Best Travel Podcast" Award Winner of the 2007,

lets keep our favorite podcaster and show in the running for 2008.

The top 10 shows based on the amount of nominations will go on to the voting stage.

How many times are you allowed to nominate? Once a day?

I believe the rules have been updated and will be held to a more strict standard. Please read them closely before nominating and voting.

From what I see, at the present time, you may nominate only once.

Once the podcasts are narrowed down to the Top 10 Nominees, you will be able to vote once a day during the voting portion of the awards.

For now, let's just make sure WDWRadio

is chosen to be among the shows that we will be voting on.

After asking for a bit of clarification about eligibility we need to avoid including nominations for "People's Choice" or "Best Produced" due to restrictions and sticking with the "Best Travel Podcast" category only.

just a heads up to everyone, it just took me a long time to fill that page out with all the nominations and the web addresses, I could only put WDW Radio down in 3 catagories (those are the rules), but after I submitted it the page expired and now I have to do it all over again

so just work faster then I did

Knowing that it timed out on you I tried to go really fast. It was a success. I voted People's Choice, Travel and Entertainment. What categories did other people do?

I would like to stress the eligibility problem Gabe found last night....

To clarify this a little further, if WDWRadio ends up winning in either of these categories, it will not be eligible to win any award at all next year!

You have until September 30th to do your one-time-only nominations.

The 10 finalists will be announced around October 15. At that point voting will last for 15 days, and everyone can vote once a day.

The Slate of Nominated Podcast's will be Presented via a Live Streamed Event!

October 19th at 4PM Pacific Time @ PodCastAwards.com

All we can do now is keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best on October 19th!
