I love the song, "Flying" nothing is more Disney to me. We also love to hear, "dead men tell no tales" and often adapt it to fit the situation! Very Disney!

My top sounds of Walt Disney World:
...the "beep beep" horn on the trams
...the train whistles
...the screams coming from the tower of terror
...the booming explosions of the fireworks
...the swooshing sound of Test Track wooshing by overhead
...the graveyard sounds around The Haunted Mansion

I posted this under the podcast thread: My favorite from living in California and going to Disneyland is from the Matterhorn, "Remain seated please - Permanecer sentados, por favor".

It's great to read everyone's favorite sounds!

Some of my favorites are the Tiki Gods in Adventureland, the sounds in MouseGear when the contraptions move around. The steel drum background music in Adventureland. The Splash mountain water canons with the screams of the riders. The canons on PotC, the background music in the Space Mountain queue. There is also a "twinkling" sound but I can't remember where I heard that. Towards the end on Spaceship Earth maybe?

Ok, this one may sound kind of weird, but I though about it when Lou and Tim were talking about the water sounds. I like the sound the misters make in Fantasmic when they first turn on. You get the pssssst sound and you can here all the "oooooooos" in the audience when it happens for the first time.

Two additional sounds came to mind as I tried to mentally walk my way through the Magic Kingdom. The clip clop of the horses and the ding ding of the bell as the trolley moves down the street!

Ah, the boats (how could we leave those out?). It reminded me of a funny story I wanted to share.
Last year around Christmas I was wandering along the Boardwalk when I came upon a performer doing a magic show for a group of onlookers. At the time he was doing a trick with a young man from the audience involving an apple, a napkin and a whistle. The apple ended up in Crescent Lake, and is actually irrelevent to the story...it's the whistle that's important. He would use the whistle to signal the boy to do something ("close your eyes", "hold out your hand", etc.). Trouble was we were right beside the dock for the launch boat...which was just getting ready to leave. So as the magician goes to toot his whistle, the boat lets out with a big "haaawwwwnk". Oops. The magician tries again. "Haaaawwwwwwwnk". At that point the magician turned towards the boat and gave him a little "tweet tweet" (which I assume meant "excuse me!!!" in whistle-speak). The boat pilot (realizing what was happening), responded with his own "honk honk". As the boat pulled away, the magician, in a desperate last act of defiance, gave him the old "do-d-d-doo-doo" (you know, "shave and a haircut"). After a tense pause, the boat answered with a loud "HONK HONK" as it sped off towards the Yacht Club (or whatever spot was next).
Pure magic!!

my favorite sound is in the Haunted Mansion - specifically the graveyard scene - when the ghosts pop up from behind the tombstones. not the screams, but the sound of the compressed air used to make them pop up, that "pssssst" sound. Whenever I hear that, I know I'm in the best place in the world!!
